Message From Father Demetrios

My beloved in Christ,
At the direction of the Archdiocese in New York and our own Metropolis, and out of an abundance of caution for your health and personal safety, our Greek Orthodox churches are now being asked to strongly encourage parishioners “NOT TO ATTEND” any services.
The Faithful are being asked to observe and participate in services online through one of the several Orthodox parishes in our Metropolis and Archdioceses that already offers this feature.

A list of those sites is available here:

We ask that you assist your family members with setting up remote viewing on their computers, tablets and phones at that time.
In some cases these services can also be watched on a Smart TV if it includes an internet browser.

Effective immediately, we will be limiting the number of liturgy participants to no more than one Priest, one Chanter and one assistant in the Altar.

There will be no Choir, no Altar boys and only one or two members of the Parish Council assigned to each service.

While not the most ideal situation, this will still allow us to celebrate the Divine Liturgy and to pray for all our parish.

Please spread this message to those friends and family in our community who do not have access to a computer or email.

We will continue to update you as the situation evolves.
Our Web Site will also be updated with any additional information.

Yours in Christ,

Father Demetris Babilis
